Friday Finds & Faves

I have lots of non-food items to share with you so today we're starting with that first!

These shoes! Since becoming a mom, my days of wearing high heels have been limited. I think I've forgotten how to wear them, maybe it's time to try again? :)

My new TV guilty pleasure, Mistresses. If you haven't seen this show, you're missing out. I'm completely and totally obsessed and I apologize to all my IRL friends who are sick of me talking about it. I can't take it! I hate that it's a summer show because then it will be off for the rest of the year. :(

I love everything in our new house. The deck, all the natural light we have, our front porch, the list goes on and on. I finally finished organizing our pantry and I'm in love. Now I need a cookie and candy jar!

Every time she's in her stroller, a leg goes up in the air. Chillin. 

Sweet potatoes are suddenly all the rage. Where have I been? This one has black beans, greek yogurt, guacamole, cheese, and chives. Total yum.

Brookies. I mean, what? A brownie with a cookie. Or a cookie within a brownie? I don't know how to describe it but it blew my mind and I wish I had thought of it!

Who's going with me to Bath and Body Works this week? I'm a sucker for pumpkin scented anything and how cute is this ceramic pumpkin!?

Peanut butter pie sheet cake. Someone needs to have a birthday so I have an excuse to make this.

This is seriously one of the best looking pies I've seen in a while. Don't you just want to reach into your computer screen and have a bite?

GroopDealz. Have you heard about this site? I've started my Christmas shopping because I've seen so many cute things, for great prices!

Finally, I got my hands on this book. I've heard lots of good things. Have you read it?

Having nursed my little girl for a year, I look forward to reading the breastfeeding diaries every week. If you're a new nursing mom or know someone who is, I highly recommend reading!

Fridays Fings & Faves

Today we find out where hubby is matching for residency. Yayyyy!! Fingers crossed we're moving down south!

Are you tired of the smore's trend yet? I'm not, especially after seeing this smore's cheesecake!

Hubby and I are high school sweethearts. We celebrated our high school dating anniversary this past weekend and went out to a nice Italian place. We ordered something with the word "bruschetta" in the name. It was nothing like traditional bruschetta, but it was really good!

I've loved the cookies and cream combo since I was a kid. This cake has my name written all over it.

By my calculations it should already be spring. March = no more snow, cold, black, gray, dreary weather...What better way to feel springy than to paint my nails, PINK! I'm loving this color.

Friday Finds & Faves

I'm starting a new series on the blog called "Friday Finds & Faves." I'll share with you any recipes I found over the week that caught my eye or that I'm dying to bake. I'll also talk about anything I'm currently obsessing over, loving, craving, dreaming, reading... I'd love to hear what you're favoring too! This should be fun. :)

I found some new banana muffins that I'd like to bake.

I also found a new banana bread! Looks like I need to buy some bananas this weekend.

I'm so over winter and ready for Spring. This lemon pound cake sounds like the perfect way to celebrate.

Nutella is a huge favorite in this house so I know these nutella cupcakes with nutella frosting would be perfect for us.

Birthday Cake Oreos. Need I say more?

Normally I'm not a huge fan of Easter. Easter candy, sure, but the colors, all those pastels...ick. That's why i was pleasantly surprised to love all the Easter decor I saw at World Market this week. I love having a seasonal centerpiece on our dining room table and I really wanted to pick up this cute one. There was also an adorable cookie jar (that I can't find online). It was pink and said "Let them eat cookies." Loooove.

Fellow TV junkies, how are you liking The Vampire Diaries? Last night's episode had me on the edge of my seat, or rather, couch! I won't give it away but emotionless Elena? This should be interesting.

I'm finally getting into Maggie Stiefvater's Ballad series. I loved her werewolf series so much and forgot what an amazing writer she is. What are you reading?
